I am excited to announce that Girls Growing Education has applied to be considered for the UNHCR [The UN Refugee Agency] Innovation Accelerator. We are deeply inspired to explore how our EdTech device/program can support students that have escaped persecution, climate and/or conflict related stressors and live in refugee camps where internet connectivity is severely limited. Partnering with the UNHCR would allow us to strengthen safeguarding systems, connect education to long-term academic and economic pathways, and equip students with the necessary skills to achieve well beyond limitations set by geographic and environmental circumstances.

We are ready to scale and help those most in need. With twenty-eight labs reaching more than 22,400 students with roughly 3,500 active at any given time, our engagement data is captured at the student level and completion rates on structured pathways exceed 50 percent.

Let’s bring innovative solutions forward. We hope that the UNHCR Innovation Accelerator can play a part in realizing this shared vision.
