Today on the 56th anniversary of Earth Day, every action matters.
In this moment, showing up is about standing up to those who aren’t working in the interests of humanity. As stated at earthday.org, “Progress does not happen in silence. It happens when people show up.”
At Girls Growing Education, we see the power of young, educated minds as a means to level the playing field and reclaim the inalienable rights to a clean, safe planet.
Our students are showing up. They are learning every day on devices that close the digital divide and provide world-class educational opportunities with proven, scalable modules of learning.
Show up, stand up and be counted. Help us democratize knowledge production so that children realize their full potential to be the catalysts of positive human, economic and societal change. United in knowledge, these bright voices will yield their power to out-science formidable obstacles of climate change. And they’ll powerfully advocate for their dignity and the rights bestowed upon every child around the world: the right to a healthy planet Earth.
